Joseph David-Jones stars as Jharrel Mateo, an empathetic social worker who is assigned to help keep the peace after thousands of missing people suddenly reappear, in The CW’s reimagined sci-fi thriller “4400.”

 

Born in Los Angeles, David-Jones and his family eventually settled in Florence, Kentucky, where he began modeling and working with local and regional brands. At his agent’s recommendation, David-Jones attended the International Modeling & Talent Association convention in New York City where he won “Actor of the Year.” Three days later he decided to make the move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

 

David-Jones landed guest star roles in a handful of series including “Hysteria,” “Intelligence” and “America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back.”

 

David-Jones is best known for his starring role as Connor Hawke AKA The Green Arrow in The CW’s “Arrow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” He also appeared on CMT’s hit series “Nashville,” opposite Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton. Bringing diversity to the series, David-Jones was a scene stealer as Clay, a creative, self-aware, and highly motivated up-and-coming musician.

 

On the big screen, David-Jones starred in Kathryn Bigelow’s critically acclaimed feature film “Detroit” alongside John Boyega, Algee Smith and Anthony Mackie. He also appeared in “Roman J. Israel, Esq.” opposite Denzel Washington and Colin Farrell, and “The Divergent Series: Allegiant” opposite Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Miles Teller.

 

Currently residing in Los Angeles, David-Jones finds joy filling his downtime with music, playing the guitar and piano.
