Jesse “JR” Raymond Jr. in “All American: Homecoming”

In The CW’s hit drama “All American: Homecoming,” Sylvester Powell stars as baseball player Jessie Raymond Jr., AKA J.R., who has had a challenging year at Bringston. With his friends by his side, J.R. fights to put his life back together. But as he reaches for the things he’s lost, he’ll find new things to fight for.

Powell is a dedicated and accomplished actor and athlete from the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. He made his debut as an actor in film and television in such shows as the Facebook series “Five Points” and “Criminal Minds.” He worked in leading and supporting roles in the indie films “Gods,” “Two Wolves” and “Kilo Valley.”

His athleticism led him to starring in ads for Asics and Nike. He was seen all over Europe for Nike, specifically in Nike’s first Paris – Michael Jordan store where he appeared in the advertising campaign for the 20^th Anniversary of “Space Jam.”
