Kelsey Munro is a co-creator and co-writer on The CW’s new series “Bump.”

 

Munro is a writer, researcher and journalist whose work has been published in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone. She is a senior analyst at the Australian StrateticPolicy Institute where she works on issues around tech, human rights and digital authoritarianism. She’s a former Lowry Institute Research Fellow and hosted the Institute’s podcast.

 

“Bump” is Munro’s first television show. She has also worked on shows in development for Roadshow Rough Diamond and Scripted Ink and is an Australian Writers Guild Pathways Writer. Her first original television script, the comedy-drama “Clicks,” was shortlisted in the 2017 Australian Writers’ Guild/AFTRS Script Showcase and the AWG PrimeTime competition.

 

As a reporter and features writer, Munro has lived in and travelled extensively throughout Asia and, from Sydney, covered everything from politics to China to Marilyn Manson. She edited the Herald’s weekly news feature section “New Review” from 2013-2016 and led the team that produced the 2016 Walkley-nominated SMH multimedia project Shirtfronted: The Story of the Abbott Government.
