Lachie in “Bump”
Peter Thurnwald stars as Lachie, a high achieving son of a doctor who checks all the right boxes for his girlfriend, Oly (Nathalie Morris), in The CW’s new series “Bump.”
Thurnwald is an adopted South Korean actor, writer and director who was raised on the Gold Coast of Australia. He graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2019, studying the Bachelor of Acting.
While studying Physics at the University of Queensland, Thurnwald was also working as a stand- in on a variety of films and played small roles in “King Kong: Skull Island” and “Thor: Ragnarok.” Thurnwald’s time on set ignited a passion in him that he never knew he had, so instead of finishing his degree, Thurnwald auditioned for the WAAPA and was selected for the Bachelor of Acting Class of 2019.
Throughout his time at drama school, Thurnwald gained valuable knowledge in acting, writing and directing. He played a variety of incredible roles including Boris Alexeyevich in “The Seagull,” Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet” and Lord Goring in “An Ideal Husband.” At the end of his training, Thurnwald directed his first short called “Running,” which is yet to be released.
