Alan Christie on “Burden of Truth”

Benjamin Ayres plays Alan Christie, a confident and slick attorney, desperate for Joanna’s (Kristin Kreuk) attention and her law firm-partner father’s (Alex Carter) approval in The CW drama “Burden of Truth.”

Ayres is best known or his role as Dr. Zachary Miller, whom he played for five seasons in the highly-acclaimed CTV original series “Saving Hope.” He also starred in the CTV Comedy hit series “Dan For Mayor.”

With his career spanning nearly two decades, Ayres has appeared in dozens of films and television shows including; “Unless” with Catherine Keener, “The L Word,” “Smallville” and “Supernatural.”

For his role in HBO Canada’s Gemini Award-winning series “Less Than Kind,” Ayres received a Canadian Screen Award nomination. He also earned a Leo nomination for his portrayal of the chain-smoking sex addict with a morbid death obsession in “jPOD,” based on the Douglas Coupland novel of the same name.
