Diane Evans in “Burden of Truth”

Nicola Correia-Damude plays the beloved guidance counselor Diane Evans in The CW drama “Burden of Truth.”

A Guyanese-Canadian television, film and stage actor, Correia-Damude’s television credits include “Shadowhunters,” “The Strain,” “Annedroids,” “Saving Hope,” “Dino Dana,” “Stargate: SG1,” “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and “Remedy,” which garnered her a Canadian Screen Award nomination.

On the big screen, Correia-Damude has also appeared in such films as “Havana 57,” “Helimington” and “Margarita,” which won her a Best Actress award at the San Diego FilmOut Festival.

Her love of the stage is well documented, having performed for The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, The Shaw Festival of Canada, Canadian Stage, Tarragon Theatre, Factory Theatre, The Caravan Farm Theatre, Bard on the Beach, Alameda Theatre Company and Aluna Theatre.

Correia-Damude is a graduate of Etobicoke School of the ArtsStudio 58 and the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre. Her theatre credits include “Coriolanus,Much Ado About Nothing,” Serious Money,” “The Women,” “Albertine in Five Times,” “The Madonna Painter,” “Within the Glass” and “Botticelli in the Fire.”
