Behrad Tarazi on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”

Shayan Sobhian stars as Behrad Tarazi in The CW’s hit series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” Behrad has a weed strain for all occasions, whether it be chilling with his best bud Nate (Nick Zano), expertly wielding the air totem, giving out sage words of wisdom, or learning how to live with his diva sister Zari 2.0 (Tala Ashe) for the first time as grown adults.  Stuck in 1925 without a Waverider and dispensaries are nowhere in sight, Behrad’s stash is burning up fast. It’s the first time the team has seen Behrad be a Legend without his favorite vice, and this newfound clarity will allow him to grow in unexpected ways.

Sobhian developed a passion for music at a young age, singing in choirs, taking bass guitar lessons, performing in rock bands, and writing/recording original songs. By high school, he was regularly performing on stage not just as a musician but as an actor. He starred in many plays and musicals and became enamored by the craft of acting. After high school, he trained at the Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase, joining notable alumnae Stanley Tucci, Edie Falco, Melissa Leo and Parker Posey.

Since graduating in 2017, Sobhian has performed in two plays, “Lost and Guided” in NYC and “Nathaniel Quinn: Filmmaker” in Los Angeles, a feature film, as well as the hit series “The Chosen” starring Erick Avari. He also co-wrote and starred in the short film “Does Bigfoot Dream of Flowers?,” which he produced with director Max Mooney.
