Oliver Harris in “Devils”

 

Malachi Kirby stars as Oliver Harris, a young Black English student at LSE from a poor suburban area, in the series “Devils” on The CW. Oliver’s eyes turn to new horizons after being passed over as Head of Trading at NYL. He successfully applies for the same role at a rival bank, but when past indiscretions only Massimo (Alessandro Borghi) knew are revealed to his new employers, the job is rescinded and Oliver changes – he concedes to the fact that good guys don’t win. He starts climbing the ranks of NYL, but at what cost? Latoyah and his children try to put some sense into him, but is he too far gone? Or is there still a human inside the devil he’s turning into?

 

 

Malachi Kirby is a British actor and writer. He gained prominence through his roles in the 2016 “Roots” remake and the “Black Mirror” episode “Men Against Fire.” He earned a BAFTA for his role in “Small Axe: Mangrove.” He was shortlisted for Outstanding Newcomer at the 2011 Evening Standard Theatre Awards after appearing in a production of Mogadishu.

 

He was also seen in BBC Three’s critically acclaimed “My Murder.” He was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2013. He has also appeared in hugely popular series’ “Doctor Who,” “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Silent Witness”.

 

He is currently filming the lead in new series “Anansi Boys.” Kirby was also recently seen in feature film “My Name Is Leon.” Recently seen in BAFTA nominated feature film “Boiling Point” starring alongside Stephen Graham.
