Brad Silberling is an experienced director and producer who previously directed and executive produced the pilots of the critically acclaimed series “Jane The Virgin,” “No Tomorrow,” as well as the period drama “Reign.”
Silberling’s latest feature film, “An Ordinary Man,” which he wrote and directed, starring Ben Kingsley, premieres later this year. His other feature credits include the Academy Award winning “Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events,” starring Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep; the critically acclaimed “Moonlight Mile,” which he wrote, directed and produced, starring Dustin Hoffman, Susan Sarandon, Jake Gyllenhall and Holly Hunter; and the much lauded “City Of Angels” starring Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage, which he directed as his second feature.
Silberling’s first film, for producer Steven Spielberg, was the family classic “Casper” which followed three years of extensive television directing credits, primarily for producer Steven Bochco, including “NYPD Blue” and “L.A. Law,” among others. His previous pilot directing credits include the hit series “Judging Amy.”
Silberling is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater Film and Television where he earned his masters degree in production, following his bachelor’s degree in English from UC Santa Barbara.
Silberling is married to actress Amy Brenneman, is the father of two children, and resides in Los Angeles.
