Robert Buckley plays Major, former fiancé of Liv (Rose McIver), on The CW’s hit drama “iZombie.”
Buckley is well known for his starring role on The CW’s hit series “One Tree Hill,” as Clayton “Clay” Evans, a brash young sports agent who represented Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). He also played the sexy Kirby Atwood on “Lipstick Jungle,” opposite Brooke Shields and Kim Raver.
His recent television credits include playing the successful playwright Brian Leonard in “666 Park Avenue,” and Peter, the love interest for Jaime King’s character on The CW’s hit series “Hart of Dixie.” Other television series include “American Heiress;” a series regular role on My Network’s “Fashion House;” a recurring role on The CW drama “Privileged,” as magazine editor-in-chief David Besser; and Lifetime’s “Flirting with 40,” where he played the sexy surfer entrepreneur Kyle Hamilton, starring alongside Heather Locklear. He has also worked as a writer and freelance producer for E! News.
A native Southern Californian, Buckley grew up in Claremont, California, before moving to San Diego to attend the University of California at San Diego. After earning a degree in economics, he spent a year and a half working as an economic consultant before throwing in the towel to head off to LA to pursue a career in entertainment. Buckley has worked steadily as a model in print and fashion, for clients including Adidas, AG Jeans and Redken, as well as magazines such as Women’s Health, Runner’s World (cover) and Exercise for Men.
