Landon Kirby in “Legacies”

Aria Shahghasemi stars as Landon Kirby, a phoenix and boyfriend of Hope Mikaelson, on The CW’s drama “Legacies.”

The oldest of two children born to Iranian immigrants, Shahghasemi grew up in suburban Minneapolis. He performed in high school plays, which ultimately led him to the theater program at Southern Oregon University. He then transferred to the celebrated Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Shortly after graduating, Shahghasemi booked episodes of “Unforgettable,” “Law and Order: SVU” and “Instinct.”

Shahghasemi recently appeared as Lacertes in “Hamlet” at Grace Church Van Vorst. Other theater work includes the off-Broadway play “Connected.” He was also seen in the independent feature “No Alternative.”
