Ethan Mac in “Legacies”
Leo Howard stars as Ethan Mac, a student at Mystic Falls High School, on The CW’s drama “Legacies.”
A native Californian, Howard was born on July 13, 1997 in Newport Beach and raised in Northern San Diego County. A devoted Bruce Lee fan, Howard began studying martial arts at the age of five and soon after picked up extreme martial arts and gymnastics. By eight, he had won three world championships. Howard’s martial arts skills helped launch his acting career and landed him a guest appearance on “Monk” as well as the role of Young Snake Eyes in the feature films “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” where he performed all of his own stunts.
Howard has also guest starred on Disney Channel’s hit series “Shake It Up,” “Lab Rats” and he served as host of the network’s “Leo Little’s Big Show.” He also had a recurring role on Disney XD’s “Zeke and Luther.” Howard has also appeared on “Major Crimes,” “Freakish,” “Love Daily,” “Santa Clarita Diet” and “A Lover Scored.”
In season four of the hit series “Kickin’ It,” Howard made his directorial debut. He was inducted into the Directors Guild Association and received a Guinness World Record for being the youngest person ever to direct an episode of a television series. He has since gone on to direct two episodes of “Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything.”
Howard’s most recent project is “Why Women Kill,” which is currently streaming on CBS All Access. Howard stars opposite Lucy Liu, Reid Scott, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jack Davenport.
Howard’s film credits include the family movie “Shorts,” for which he won a Young Artist’s Award. He also appeared in the lead role in the independent film “Logan” and appeared in the role of Young Conan in “Conan the Barbarian.” He also had a starring role alongside Danny Glover and Alec Baldwin in the sci-fi film “Andron.” In 2017, Howard was seen in the comedy “You’re Gonna Miss Me” alongside John Schneider, Eric Roberts and Morgan Fairchild.
