Alexander Calvert is known for portraying Jack, the son of a powerful (and evil) supernatural being who is struggling to come to terms with his untapped, paranormal abilities, on the Sci-Fi hit show “Supernatural.”
Growing up in Abbotsford, British Columbia, a life in Hollywood seemed far off, but after booking guest star roles on “The Dead Zone” and “Psych,” Alexander Calvert knew acting was his calling.
In 2016, he starred alongside Hailee Steinfeld in the feature film “Edge of Seventeen.” Alexander plays “Nick,” the resident bad boy who captures the attention of Steinfeld’s character. Other notable film credits include the independent feature and Leo Award winner “If I Had Wings,” the horror film “Lost After Dark,” “Lost Boys: The Tribe,” “Flicka: Country Pride” and the comedy “Kickin it Old School.” Calvert was seen in the new film “The Package” and will soon be seen in the short film “Blackout.”
Calvert also recurred on the hit television show “Arrow,” playing DC Comic antihero Anarky. In addition, he landed the role of Tom Martin in the second season of “Scream,” the series adaptation of the hit teen movie franchise created by Kevin Williamson. Further television credits include guest spots on several popular television series such as “Motive,” “Human Target,” and recurring roles on “Bates Motel” opposite Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, and “The Returned.” He was also seen on “Virtual Lies,” the German miniseries “Unser Traum Von Kanada,” and the “Untitled Paranormal Pilot,” which was executive produced by Kevin Williamson for the CW Network.
When he is not filming, Alexander enjoys going to concerts, reading, riding motorcycles and traveling. Calvert currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
