Orlyn Dwyer/Cicada on “The Flash”

Chris Klein stars as stars as Orlyn Dwyer/Cicada, the villain, in season 5 of “The Flash.”

Klein was discovered in his Omaha, Nebraska high school by director Alexander Payne. Payne was casting for his cult film “Election.” Klein won the role of Paul Metzler and charmed as the polite student president candidate opposite Reese Witherspoon.

Following “Election,” came his breakout role of Chris “Oz” Ostreicher in “American Pie” and the highly successful sequel “American Pie 2.” Klein was nominated for the Chicago Film Critics Association's Most Promising Actor, as well as for two Teen Choice Awards for this role.

  Klein went on to star in the teen hit “Here On Earth” with Leelee Sobieski, nabbing him the “Male Superstar of Tomorrow” Young Hollywood Award and notable roles in “When We Were Soldiers” and “Just Friends.”

Other film credits include John McTiernan’s “Rollerball,” “Say It Isn’t So” opposite Heather Graham, and, the independent film “The United States of Leland,” with Ryan Gosling and Don Cheadle. Next up, Klein can be seen in “Benchwarmers 2” alongside Jon Lovitz.

He currently lives in California with his wife and two young children.
