The CW Has Most Watched Thursday Night in More Than Four Years

December 2, 2016 (Burbank, CA) ─ DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW had its most watched episode ever (3.33M) and its highest rated episode ever in adults 18-34 (1.0/4) with last night’s DC Crossover Week finale, according to preliminary fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen Media Research for December 1, 2016.

 

LEGENDS also matched its second highest rating ever in adults 18-49 (1.1/4), its best in that demo since its second episode on 1/28/16. It was LEGENDS’ highest rated episode ever in men 18-34 (1.2/6) and tied its best rating ever in men 18-49 (1.4/5).

LEGENDS was up +80% week to week in total viewers, +67% in adults 18-34, and +83% in adults18-49.

LEGENDS ranked #3 in the hour in adults 18-34, ahead of ABC and Fox, and outrated Fox in both adults18-49 and total viewers.

LEGENDS delivered a five year high in the time period in total viewers (11/3/11) and a two year high in adults 18-34 (12/11/14).

 

At 9-10pm, SUPERNATURAL was up +4% in total viewers (1.86M) for its most watched episode since the season premiere, and was steady week to week in adults 18-34 (0.6/3) and adults 18-49 (0.7/2).

For the night, this was The CW’s most watched Thursday night (2.59M) in more than four years (since 10/11/12), and its highest rated Thursday in adults 18-34 (0.8/3) in two and a half years (3/20/14). It was the highest rated Thursday in adults 18-49 since 1/28/16.

LEGENDS HITS SEASON HIGHS – Page 2

 

The DC crossover event, with SUPERGIRL, THE FLASH, ARROW, and DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW meeting in an epic, four-night adventure, delivered season highs for all four series each night, with all four shows seeing their most watched episodes of the season. THE FLASH raced to its largest audience in two years, and THE FLASH and ARROW both hit season highs in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 along with LEGENDS.

 

This season to date, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and SUPERNATURAL both see significant amounts of time-shifting, with LEGENDS averaging a +58% gain in total viewers, +63% in adults 18-34, and +73% in adults 18-49 in Live + 7 Day delayed viewing versus its Live + Same Day ratings. SUPERNATURAL sees increases of +58% in total viewers, +72% in adults 18-34, and +75% in adults 18-49 in L+7 over L+SD.
