Being the wife or girlfriend of a pro-football player might sound like a glamorous and stress-free existence, but Melanie Barnett (Tia Mowry, "Sister, Sister") has learned the truth the hard way. When her fiancé, Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall, "Miracle's Boys"), a wide receiver for the San Diego Sabers, cheated on her with a music pop star, she called off the engagement and the relationship. After finally finding their way back to each other, Melanie will be hurt once again by the news that Derwin may have a "baby mama." With this potentially life-changing news to contend with, Derwin and Melanie struggle to save their relationship while Derwin adjusts to the idea of impending fatherhood.
Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson, "The Steve Harvey Show") will find out whether her one-night stand with co-worker Rick Fox (guest starring as himself) will turn into something more permanent. Meanwhile, her star quarterback son, Malik Wright (Hosea Chanchez, "For Your Love"), will have to adjust to going from being a player on and off the field to being one half of a celebrity couple with his new wife, Robin Givens (guest starring as herself).
Kelly Pitts (Brittany Daniel, "White Chicks") has made a valiant effort to balance being a wife, mother and aspiring career woman throughout Jason's (Coby Bell, "Third Watch") trying football career. Unfortunately, the ups and downs of being a NFL trophy wife may have taken too big a toll as Kelly contemplates filing for divorce. As newer, faster players arrive and his age becomes an issue, Jason struggles to maintain his star position with the Sabers.
After two years of dealing with groupies, image consultants and Saber Sunbeams, Melanie realizes that ─ like it or not ─ football may be in her life for good.
