Executive Producer on “Walker”



Anna Fricke is a television writer and producer who is currently serving as Showrunner and Executive Producer for “Walker” for The CW.

Fricke is also running a newly founded production company, Pursued By A Bear. Previously, she served as co-showrunner for The CW’s “Valor,” worked on “Dynasty,” was an Executive Producer on the “LA Confidential” pilot, and executive produced the “Republic of Sarah” pilot, under her overall deal at CBS Television Studios. 

She was most recently an Executive Producer on “Wayward Pines” under an overall deal at 20th Century. 

Previously, she was a Co-Executive Producer on “Minority Report” for FBC. Prior to that, Fricke was the Showrunner and Executive Producer on the series “Being Human” that she co-created with her husband Jeremy Carver (“Supernatural,” “Doom Patrol”). Fricke has developed projects with Secret Hideout, formerly known as Kurtzman/Orci, Howard Gordon, Scott Free, Mark Gordon Company, Boom! Studios, Chernin Entertainment and various others. She has worked on such shows as “Red Band Society” (Consulting Producer), “Privileged” (Consulting Producer), “Men in Trees” (Co-Executive Producer), “Everwood” (Producer), “Touching Evil” (Executive Story Editor), and “Dawson’s Creek” (Story Editor).

In the fall of 2020, Fricke launched a production company, Pursued By A Bear (PBAB), and has several shows in development. The first television show on the PBAB slate is “Walker,” the re-imagining of “Walker, Texas Ranger” on The CW - which was the first show the network did a series order for in it’s 13 year history. Alongside “Red Band Society,” Fricke and her friend and fellow writer, Rina Mimoun, have co-written “Fae” and sold “Happy Birthday Avery Scott,” which was based on the book The Year We Turned Forty, to CBS All Access / Paramount+ in collaboration with Secret Hideout. Fricke is also a mentor for the Campfire Writers Room, in partnership between CBS TV Studios, Rideback and Thinking Hat, where she supports writers/showrunners on their first shows and has several shows in development supporting alumni of the program coming up.
