Cordell Walker in “Walker”/Executive Producer
Jared Padalecki is a gifted actor whose creative versatility and talent continue to grow as he skillfully navigates the entertainment industry while also challenging himself as a producer. Padalecki currently serves as an executive producer and stars as the title character in WALKER, which was quickly renewed for a second season after becoming the CW’s most-watched series premiere in five years. The series made its mark during its freshman season run, garnering its largest audience in the CW time slot in over four years. Padalecki brings his own spin to Cordell Walker, whom the series follows as the widower and father of two returns home to Austin to find there is hard work to be done, exploring morality, family and rediscovering lost common ground.
Padalecki is best known for his role as Sam Winchester opposite Jensen Ackles in The CW’s long running hit series “Supernatural,” which just wrapped its fifteenth and final season. The beloved series not only holds the title of the longest-running series on the network to date but is also the longest-running genre show in the history of American prime-time broadcast television. Prior to this success, Padalecki won the hearts of many for his role as Dean Forester alongside Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel in the titular Warner Bros. series, “Gilmore Girls,” from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. He later reprised his role for the revival miniseries from Netflix, “Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.” Additional notable film credits include: the cult horror “Friday the 13th” from director Marcus Nispel; the Warner Bros. horror thriller “House of Wax” opposite Chad Michael Murray and Elisha Cuthbert; slasher “Cry Wolf” from director Jeff Wadlow; and the Twentieth Century Fox remake of the adventure classic “Flight of the Phoenix” opposite Dennis Quaid and Tyrese Gibson.
In addition to his work on screen, Padalecki is the co-founder of MANTRA Labs alongside Paul Janowitz, which was built on the three core principles of total health: movement, rest and community. The company offers nutrition solutions with a comprehensive suite of clean, great-tasting and biorhythm-matched products in a simple on-the-go system to fuel and optimize the body and mind.
Padalecki is also an avid and outspoken advocate of mental health, openly sharing his own battles with depression and anxiety. His passions led him to launch the “Always Keep Fighting” campaign to raise money and awareness for mental health, depression, and suicide prevention. He most recently designed a “You Define You” apparel line in partnership with his campaign and in support of Mental Health Awareness Day, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit organizations Dream Big! and spcaLA. By opening up an honest dialogue around his own experiences and struggles, he is working to create a safe space for others to share their stories and feel less alone.
The Texas native currently resides in Austin with his wife, urban homesteader and actress Genevieve Padalecki, along with their three children, two dogs, fourteen chickens, and a hive of honeybees.
