AISHA TYLER
Host of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”

Aisha Tyler serves as the host of the critically acclaimed improv show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” which features the cast members Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie.

Tyler is an award-winning director, actor, comedian, bestselling author, podcaster and activist. She co-hosted the CBS daytime talker “The Talk,” for six seasons, departing at the end of season seven, to focus on her career as a director.

She currently voices superspy Lana Kane on the Emmy-winning hit comedy “Archer,” the winner of several Television Critics’ Choice Awards. “Archer’s” tenth season debuted in late May 2019. Tyler also currently plays forensic psychologist Tara Lewis on the long-running hit “Criminal Minds.” Originally brought on for just six episodes, she was promoted to cast regular, and directed episodes of the show in both 2018 and 2019. The series finale season of “Criminal Minds” has wrapped and will air its final episodes in the upcoming season.

Her feature film debut, the thriller “AXIS,” premiered at the 2017 Sarasota Film Festival and won the Outstanding Achievement in Feature Filmmaking award at the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival. She has directed several short films as well as music videos for rock bands Silversun Pickups and Clutch. She is currently attached to direct the next Irwin Winkler action thriller in Fall 2019.

She will add entrepreneur to her resume in Summer 2019, with the debut of a line of bottled cocktails, called Courage+Stone. She personally created and developed the cocktails, which will launch with two flavor profiles, a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned. In addition, in 2020 she will voice a character in “Monsters at Work,” the animated series based on the popular film, “Monsters Inc.”

Tyler was the creator, producer and host of the hit comedy podcast “Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler.” Billed as “a show about stuff guys love brought to you by the ultimate guy’s girl,” “Girl on Guy” is an iTunes and Webby Award honoree, with over 17 million downloads. The show was syndicated on the iHeart Radio, Spotify and Stitcher platforms, reaching more than 80 million listeners. After five seasons, she goodnighted the podcast to focus on her burgeoning directorial career.

Tyler’s second book, Self-Inflicted Wounds, named for the wildly popular segment of her podcast, debuted on The New York Times bestseller list in 2013. She is also the author of Swerve: Reckless Observations of a Postmodern Girl, and a contributor to WIRED, Glamour, Entertainment Weekly and Oprah magazines. She interacts daily with more than one million followers across her social media sites.

As an actress, her work is varied and includes television shows such as “Talk Soup,” “Friends,” “CSI:Crime Scene Investigation,” “24,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Boston Legal,” “Hawaii 5-0,” “Glee,” “Modern Family” and many others. Film credits include “Bedtime Stories,” “Death Sentence,” “Black Water Transit,” “.45” and “The Babymakers.”

In 2012, Tyler joined the board of Scholarmatch, a “Kickstarter for kids” founded by Dave Eggers, dedicated to giving underprivileged students who have demonstrated drive and ability the money to pay for college. She is also a Board Member of Planned Parenthood and has spoken on behalf of reproductive rights and women’s health nationwide. In addition, Tyler actively supports the work of the International Rescue Committee, The Trust for Public Land, the Family Violence Prevention Fund and Doctors Without Borders.

A San Francisco native, Tyler graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Government and Environmental Policy. An avid gamer and passionate advocate (and occasional adversary) of the gaming community, her voice can be heard in the video games Halo:Reach, Gears of War 3 and Watch Dogs. Tyler is a bourbon and hard rock fan, a snowboarder and sci-fi obsessive.
