Max Mitchell in “Wild Cards”
Vanessa Morgan stars as Max Mitchell, a spirited, clever con woman, in The CW’s new series “Wild Cards.”
In 2023, Morgan wrapped her iconic role as South Side Serpent “Toni Topaz” on the pop culture phenomenon “Riverdale.” Previously, Morgan starred in Paramount Pictures’ fantasy series “The Shannara Chronicles” and MTV’s drama series “Finding Carter.” She is also widely known for her starring turn as “Sarah”, the half-vampire/half-human babysitter, in the series “My Babysitter’s a Vampire” on Disney Channel.
Other feature film credits include a leading role in Christine Croko’s “Pimp,” opposite Keke Palmer and Paramount+’s thriller “Margaux.” She made her feature film debut playing a supporting role in “Frankie and Alice” as 16-year-old “Frankie,” Halle Berry’s character.
A working actress since she was a child, Morgan has starred in countless memorable films and series including the Disney Channel original movie “Geek Charming,” “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and “Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars.”
Morgan starred in the Kygo music video for his smash hit single “Higher Love,” which has been viewed nearly 200 million times.
Born in Ottawa, Canada, Morgan began singing at the age of five. She made her first public performance on a televised fundraiser in Palm Springs, California. Other appearances quickly followed, including a stint as Junior Miss America in 1999.
In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing music and spending time with her son River.
