BENTLEY GREEN

Joshua Johnson in “61st Street”

Bentley Green stars as Joshua Johnson in The CW’s “61st Street.”

Green is quickly emerging as the brightest young talent in entertainment.  He shined in his role as high school phenom Jacoby, alongside Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls, in the sports comedy film remake “White Men Can’t Jump,” directed by Calmatic and written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.

Green, a Dallas native, was born to entertain.  At six years old, he appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where he captured America’s hearts and wowed audiences with his hip-hop skills. His scripted television debut came on the YouTube series “Epic Rap Battles of History,” where he portrayed a young Michael Jackson and Tootie Ramsey. The series had 3.5 billion views in its 10-year run, making it one of the most popular series on the platform.

Green has since been seen in recurring roles on “Snowfall,” “Mr. Iglesias,” “Sweet Magnolias,” “The Good Doctor” and more.  He also played a younger version of basketball player LeBron James in a Crypto.com commercial that premiered in February 2022.

The young actor is just getting started.  Green was recently tapped by “61st Street” co-star Courtney B. Vance to star in the feature film “Heist 88,” with Keesha Sharp and Keith David. Debuting in fall of 2023, the movie tells the true story of criminal and master manipulator Armand Moore who persuaded four young, African American employees of First National Bank of Chicago to steal $70 million.  The thrilling sequence of events are now known as one of the largest heists in United States history.

Being raised in a single-parent household, Green openly shares his unapologetic reverence for his mother and is proudly “the man of the house,” a title which he often references in his music and interviews. Green strives to teach and help his peers and future generations, leading by example with his infectious personality and boyish swag. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, frequently playing in both charity and semi-pro tournaments. When he’s not acting, rapping or hooping, he’s spending time with his favorite person in the world - his mother LaTonya Mitchell.
