Patience in “All American”

 

In The CW’s drama “All American,” Chelsea Tavares plays Patience,a musician represented by Layla’s (Greta Onieogou) Music Label, Formonica Records. Newly single, Patience is diving headfirst into her music, discovering more about who she is, how the world will see her, and how she wants to define herself. As her stardom rises, she’ll be faced with the challenge of staying true to herself and doing music her way.

 

Born in Panorama City, Los Angeles, CA, Tavares is of Cape Verdean descent and has been a working actress for most of her life.  Tavares first broke out on “Unfabulous” and “Just Jordan.” She previously recurred on “Animal Kingdom,” and other credits include “SMILF,” “Lethal Weapon,” “Make It or Break It,” “Ringer,” “Bones,” “The Middle” and the DreamWorks feature film “Fright Night.”

 

She also played Nora in the long-anticipated video game “The Last of Us Part II” and a six-episode recurring arc on “Queen of the South” as Birdie.

 

She also starred in the indie feature “Solace,” which premiered at the LA Film Festival 2018 and won the Muse Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
