Lois Lane in “Superman & Lois”

Elizabeth Tulloch stars as the iconic Lois Lane in The CW’s hit series “Superman & Lois.”

 

Tulloch is a prolific actress known for working on both the big and small screens. Most notably, she played the female lead on the hit series “Grimm” for six seasons. She appeared alongside Billy Bob Thornton and Paul Giamatti in the Tom Hanks produced “Parkland,” and starred opposite Tim Roth in the indie “Chronic” that premiered as an Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for best film at the Independent Spirit Awards. She was also in the drama “Concussion” alongside Will Smith and Alex Baldwin. Tulloch was in the Academy Award winning silent film “The Artist,” which took home the Best Picture award, and for which she was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award for best cast.

 

Additional film credits include Neil LaBute’s “Lake View Terrace” with Samuel L. Jackson and the independent film “Uncross the Stars” with Barbara Hershey and Ron Pearlman.

 

On television, Tulloch starred in Ed Zwick’s drama series “Quarterlife.” She led the cast as a journalist who chronicles her friends’ relationships via a video blog. Additional television credits include guest starring roles on “Portlandia,” “House,” “The West Wing,” “Cold Case” and “Moonlight.”

 

Tulloch originated the role of Lois Lane in The CW crossover event series “Elseworlds,” which teamed up various superheroes from “Supergirl,” “The Flash” and “Arrow.”

 

Tulloch spent her formative years living overseas in Spain, Uruguay, and Argentina until she landed in New York for middle and high school. She attended Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude with a double major in literature and fine arts. Tulloch’s first professional acting job came about during a trip to Sydney just before her sophomore year in college. She was cast as R2D2’s girlfriend in “R2D2 – Beneath the Dome,” a mockumentary written and produced by George Lucas. The reactions she received about her performance in the film ignited her passion for acting after graduating from Harvard, propelled her to move to Los Angeles to pursue her craft full time.

 

Tulloch is an active participant and celebrity representative for the Corazon de Vida Foundation, through which she fundraises and visits orphanages in Tijuana; she appeared on CNN in support of the cause. She also volunteers for CHD Living’s “Adopt a Grandparent” program. 

 

Tulloch and her husband, David Giuntoli divide their time between Washington and Vancouver, where they shoot their respective series. They have one daughter.
